Special guest emcee: Charlene Shirk
Charlene Shirk is the Creative Director and Founder of C. Shirk Productions. Prior to starting her own company, Charlene was the Director for Community Activation and Outreach at the PGA TOUR headquartered in Ponte Vedra, Florida. When Charlene joined the TOUR five years ago her primary focus was on the charitable efforts of THE PLAYERS Championship.
Prior to joining the TOUR in 2007, Charlene was best known for her 10 years as the friendly face of the weekend morning and evening newscasts on First Coast News, the NBC and ABC affiliate in Jacksonville.
Charlene has been recognized several times over for her excellence in journalism both on a local and national level. Her most noteworthy awards include the Gabrielle (Gabe-Ree-Elle) Award, sponsored by the Catholic Communicators in radio and television, the Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists along with a regional Emmy nomination from the National Academy of Television Arts.
Proving her talents are well rounded, Charlene was also named as “The Most Crush-Worthy Female Celebrity,” by Florida Times-Union subscribers, “Best Hairdo in Town” and “Best Pitchwoman” by Folio Magazine readers.
Charlene is currently on the board of Blessings in a Backpack.
